This page is short for the same reason the certifications page is restrained: what cannot be evidenced is not written.
An environmental claim is evidenced like a certification
Consumption figures, invoices and reports are produced on request. A European buyer has a supplier section in their own sustainability report, and what fits there is a figure or a certificate, not a slogan.
This page therefore carries neither green symbols nor round percentages, only what can be evidenced.
What reduces waste here, today
Two things, both technical and both already published on this site, because they are about the quality of the part. They also happen to decide how many parts get made twice - and a part made twice is material, energy and transport, twice.
- The first article, measured before the series
- The first article report is made before the series is released. A wrong dimension stops at part one, not at part one hundred.
- Stress relief, before machining
- The stresses in the material are released with heat on the sawn blank, before the first chip. Otherwise the dimension moves after machining, and the part is made a second time.
Where parts are made and where they go
The machining happens in Satu Mare, inside the European Union, and delivery to Germany or the Czech Republic is a delivery inside the single market, not an import. What that means in emissions depends on the carrier and the load - a figure quoted here would be theirs, not ours.
